Our lovely home

Since currently I am a full-time housewife, the least I can do is to make sure that our house is clean at all times. As you can see in the picture above, that is our simple living room exclusively designed by me. Yes, just me. Why? Because my husband completely has entrusted everything to me, when it comes to designing our home. It’s not that he doesn’t know, but he is too busy and has no time for this anymore. However, choosing the furniture was his idea although not all.

As you can see from the photo, most of the furniture is from IKEA. It is good quality, affordable and simply nice. My husband David is a very practical person and I thank God for that, because if he was like me who likes to spend a lot, then I don’t know what would happen to us. (hahaha)

Why red and yellow? Because I have loved red and yellow ever since I was young, plus I thought it was not a bad idea to combine strong colours. (Just like in Burj Al Arab). The white curtain has been tailored, I saw this gorgeous transparent white textile in the mall and decided to buy and have it tailored professionally.

I put plants on the left side of the couch to give some life to the room. The TV was not really supposed to be there but we agreed to just place it in the living room, so we can entertain visitors. I still have so many plans for the house, but for now am waiting for the right ideas to come along. I keep checking furniture stores and am waiting to come across things that strike my fancy.
